I tend to pedal around 80/90 rpm bit slower up hills. I completed the 203km winter warmer on Saturday in strong winds but no rain thankfully. Knee O.K. It just occasionally plays up. Doing some knee exercises which seem to help.
Entered the Poor Student 200 from Oxford at the beginning of January. Should be fun in the winter weather.

I rode the Poor Student in 2012. Apart from a broken chain as I climbed the hill to the Malmesbury control, I remember the Cotswold hills approaching Chipping Campden, at least one was to much for my, very low, gear and the gradient made it unpleasant towing the trike up it. The following descent was fantastic!

Hi Folk Very Happy , Well Did the Poor Student, Doktor Trykit achieve a "Distinction" in the 200 Audax? Did you get letters after your name? (DNF, which I often get), or even like my school reports "Could Do Better!".
Do tell Mr. Green . TTFN MM

So who is riding LEL this year ? I had a place being an AUK member since 2012 but I couldn't really risk 319 and then have my youngest go back into hospital and not be able to ride  Sad  So I have done the next best thing and volunteered so I am at Pocklington for the duration. It would be great to track the trike riders and obviously make sure they get preferential treatment  Laughing

So I was down to help out at Pocklington but due to some major real life issues Crying or Very sad  I had to step down. Life has moved on and after discussing it with my wife I decided to re-volunteer and I am now at Brampton from Sunday morning until the control closes Wednesday so are their any trikes on this years event ?

I'm riding LEL but on bike, starting 13:00. Sooner or later I'll decide which bike I'll ride.

Judith is on the back of Rufus, starting 11:15.
