Got 2 drive bosses. One has the separate thread for a fixed wheel lock ring. The other is for a freewheel. Looks just like a hub one.
I have noticed that I am eyeing up the crank position incorrectly, forgetting that the chainstays are a million miles from being parallel (of course. I'll have another play.
This is my Higgins with the eccentric pushed fairly well to the left. Chainset is Campag and the bottom bracket is a cup and cone Campag for a double. If it wasn't raining I'd go outside with a tape measure.
Sorted. Cut cartridge BB cups down a bit and found a Stronglight chainset that sits close to the frame. Got a 6 speed block fitted, didn't seem to be able to wiggle anything more in. Plenty though with a triple up front. Bound to be more questions about this project though.
