MA 40 rims look to go at around 50-60 a pair on Ebay so could still be worth a punt in all honesty especially if you are going to use the conversion kit as designed and fit 20" rims ?

Love to but won't - if it does go just for the rims, I hope it is to someone with a bit of nous who will sell the rest on.

I have copies of the original JW flyer, which show the heat & rancour that the matter caused at the time, very cross words!
So, maybe a collector item, rather on the lines of the Sinclair C5?

Thank you very much for this MM. I looked and was sure it was an axle removed from a trike. Just one thing the mounting point for the seat stays which you have now explained how it works (I was scratching my head). Could this one not be for 700c/27 inch wheels rather than a small wheeler. Pictures can be deceiving but the slotted hole looks like it would be in the right place for a rim brake on the wheels fitted to the conversion  to my eyes it would be too high if using 20 inch wheels.

Hello all Very Happy , I'm not certain or not whether KGR also did a 700c version, too busy at the time getting normal con-sets tacked onto bike frames! Only way at that time to get my hands on a suitable trike.
One could always contact the man himself & ask him?
Although his delivery time-scale is a tad elastic, I'm still waiting for a con-set I requested in 1979 Shocked .

It does doesn't it - but why bother if he was already doing a good trade in 'normal' conversion sets for full-size machines?

Hi again all Razz , KGR did say that it was created for small frame & "Mixte" frames, spindly twin lats, so using a regular con-set of Higgins/Rogers type was a non starter.
Jack Warner had no love of iffy frames Evil or Very Mad .
It's hard thinking about them all after so long, bringing on PTSD Crying or Very sad .

Bidding is going quite well - has now outstripped the value of the rims, so someone has an eye for it.

Sold for 151 - so somebody loves it which is good. With luck the buyer will find us and perhaps solve the mystery of whether the attachments are positioned to suit a small-wheeler or not.
